Practicing Ho ‘oponopono
by rq on March 5, 2010
Following on from my previous post on Ho ‘oponopono, I decided to practice what I preach (for once).
I had to reply an email. Though I felt a bit pek chek (dialect for frustrated), I made sure that I was polite and friendly in my email. As I typed out my email, I suddenly decided that this pek check feeling had to stop. So I decided to practice ho ‘oponopono. I looked at my recipient’s name in the email and thought ‘I love you’ over and over again.
Feeling rather silly, I sent the email off.
A few days later I received a reply that made me jump for joy. Not only had I obtained what I wanted, I got that and more. I went down to collect my item from the recipient of that email. I smiled nervously and was shocked to receive a cheery smile and friendly greeting, slightly different from the formal and polite greeting that I had received previously. It was the friendliness that really warmed my heart.
I know you might think that perhaps the person had a good day, hence the good mood. I like to think of it as ho ‘oponopono. Grin. Good vibes all around make for a happier day!
